Death was Arrested

Death was Arrested

Today our family is celebrating the resurrection of our risen Savior. We rejoice in knowing that Jesus conquered the grave and now we don't have to fear death –

"O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” –1 Corinthians 15:55

"I am the living one. I died, but look – I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave." –Revelation 1:18

Songs that talk about death not being the end always choke me up, because I have a mother in heaven that I long to see again one day.

That's why I wanted to share with you the song "Death Was Arrested." Have you heard it before? Go watch it here - I promise it will bless your socks off!

Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom he faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and he called me his friend
When death was arrested and my life began

Feel free to screenshot the image above to share on your social media and tell how Jesus paid for the sins of the world and defeated death – eternal death – for us.

If you don't know Jesus personally, will you consider surrendering your life to Him today? He loves you so.

It is rare indeed for anyone to die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him! For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! –Romans 5:7-10

Happy Easter!

With love and lettering,
